THE STORY
Faced with an ever present need for more sustainable design in the fashion industry, I turned towards local and natural materials to build a fully biodegradable handbag. Immediately drawn to wool as a raw material due to its ability to break down and its connection to my family this provided the base material for the handbag. Throughout my whole life my family have raised sheep and discarded the wool that needs to be sheared yearly. This project aimed to celebrate this traditionally discarded material to create a beautiful functional luxury good.
